A novel approach for the olfactory of odourised biomethane

A systematic analysis of the terpene composition versus the odour characterization gave a clear insight in the influence of the terpene concentration on the olfactory. This information gives guidelines to the maximum allowable concentrations of these components in biomethane, thus enhancing the implementation of biomethane in the gas grid. This innovation can be considered as a concept for decision making as well as basis for a standard.
