Project leaders presented twelve new research projects at the Second Research Day, in Ede, on 11 June 2010. They made presentations about the aim and scope of their research, as well as about the results they expect when the projects will be completed. The program categorized the projects in one of the three research themes.

The program has carried out the first subsidy round between February and April 2010. The International Advisory Committee has made a scientific assessment of the proposals. The Program Steering Committee has ensured that the projects fitted within the research program.

EDGaR has awarded €20 million. The budgets range between €0.9 million and €1.2 million per project.

Fifty participants attended the Second Research Day. The research program is not complete, yet. Therefore, some participants formed new research group. They will prepare proposals to be submitted to the second subsidy round.
