Bram van der Drift, a chemical engineer, has been working mainly on biomass gasification at ECN. Since 2008, he is the manager of a group in which technologies are developed for the production of synthetic gas (and hydrogen) and substitute natural gas, essentially methane. This includes technologies such as the Olga gas cleaning for tar removal and Milena gasification. The combination of both is a very strong candidate for highly efficient production of quality gas from different kind of biomass feedstock.
