Dr. Kas Hemmes is associate professor at the section Technology Dynamics and Sustainable Development, at Delft University of Technology. He graduated in experimental and theoretical physics at the University of Groningen and received a doctoral degree from Twente University. At Delft University of Technology, he was head of the Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell research laboratory for fifteen years. As of 2001, he joined the faculty of Technology, Policy and Management to work on energy systems and sustainability. Besides, he was coordinating the non-technical sub-projects within the project on the greening of gas (VG2), mixing hydrogen into the natural gas grid, part of the program Economy, Ecology and Technology.
